A state imposed surcharge of $2.00 per day is assessed on all rental vehicles. Florida State Sales Tax – included on all the items above. Airport Access Fee – 11.11% of the total amount. *Sales tax is not included on the additional charges above this will be charged at 7% of any total amount paid locally.

Pre Register

Save time at the car rental desk by pre-registering your driving license details online at https://www.dollar.com/PreRegistration/Login/Login.aspx. This only takes a few minutes but considerably cuts down the formalities at the pick-up desk.

Pre book Satellite Navigation

Don’t be disappointed: the only guarantee of getting a car with satellite navigation is to book before you travel.

Pre-book a car with satellite navigation and you’ll always know exactly where you are and where you’re going. Ask our reservations team about Sat-Nav when you book – they cost next to nothing, but the peace of mind they provide is priceless!

Driving licences

You need a full British driving licence. There is no minimum time for having had a licence. You must have your original with you and if you have the new-style photo card, then remember you will need to take both parts with you, not just the card. A faxed copy is not acceptable. You are not allowed to rent a car if you hold a US or Canadian Driving Licence, only a British or International driving licence will be acceptable.

Credit Card

Renter must hold a credit card in their own name and be prepared to leave an open charge to secure your vehicle rental.

Over 21s only!

If you are aged between 21-24 years, you can still hire a car but a Young Driver Surcharge is payable, if you are over 25 there is no charge.

One Ways in Florida are FREE so if you fancy picking up in Orlando and dropping back in Miami then this won’t cost you any extra

This includes 3rd Party Liability Cover $1 million, LDW and UMP, plus all State Taxes, Airport Fees, Handling Fees and includes CFCs and HSFs

Platinum Package

This allows you to pay absolutely ALL charges in advance. It includes 3rd Party Liability Cover $1 million, LDW and UMP, plus all State Taxes, Airport Fees, Handling Fees, All Additional Drivers, a Full tank of Petrol and includes CFCs and HSFs. In addition to these, it also includes Drivers Under 25. If you require these additional extras then this is definitely the package for you.
